The Hiwatha is a bike trail on the Idaho/Montana border that follows old train tracks through the mountains. It is 15 miles long with 10 train tunnels (the longest train tunnel is an impressive 1.66 miles long!).

When is the Hiawatha Bike Trail open?

The trail is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, starting May 27 through September 25.
